(กรุงเทพฯ - 21 มกราคม 2564) ในช่วงปลายปี 2563 บุคลากรทางการแพทย์และประชาชนชาวไทยต้องเผชิญกับการแพร่ระบาดระลอกใหม่ของเชื้อไวรัสโควิด-19 อีกครั้ง และเหตุการณ์ยังคงต่อเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
กองทุนฮอนด้าเคียงข้างไทย ภายใต้มูลนิธิฮอนด้าประเทศไทย ผนึกกำลังร่วมกับกลุ่มบริษัทฮอนด้าในประเทศไทย เดินหน้าพัฒนาและผลิต หน้ากากแรงดันลบและบวก ซึ่งเป็นหน้ากากที่ใช้สวมใส่เพื่อช่วยป้องกันการติดเชื้อและแพร่เชื้อโควิด-19 ที่มีขนาดกะทัดรัด น้ำหนักเบา พกพาได้สะดวก ซึ่งสามารถปรับใช้ได้ 2 รูปแบบ ทั้งสำหรับผู้ป่วยและบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ที่ต้องดูแลผู้ป่วยกลุ่มเสี่ยงเพื่อป้องกันการติดเชื้อ ซึ่งได้พัฒนาต่อยอดจากเตียงเคลื่อนย้ายผู้ป่วยแบบแรงดันลบ ที่ทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ได้ผลิตและส่งมอบไปยัง 96 โรงพยาบาลทั่วประเทศไปเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม ปี 2563
โดยครั้งนี้ กองทุนฮอนด้าฯ จะทำการผลิตและบริจาคหน้ากากแรงดันลบและบวก จำนวน 1,000 ชิ้น พร้อมเครื่องพ่นยาฆ่าเชื้อ ซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ในกลุ่มเครื่องยนต์อเนกประสงค์ของฮอนด้า จำนวน 100 ตัว รวมมูลค่ากว่า 40 ล้านบาท โดยจะเตรียมส่งมอบให้แก่ 77 จังหวัดทั่วประเทศ ในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2564
นายพิทักษ์ พฤทธิสาริกร กรรมการผู้จัดการกองทุนฮอนด้าเคียงข้างไทย กล่าวว่า “หลังจากที่กองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ได้ทำการผลิตและส่งมอบเตียงเคลื่อนย้ายผู้ป่วยแบบแรงดันลบไปแล้วเมื่อปีที่ผ่านมา เป็นที่น่าภูมิใจอย่างยิ่งที่ทีมวิศวกรของ ฮอนด้าทีมเดิมไม่หยุดนิ่ง แต่ได้ริเริ่มคิดต่อยอดและนำเสนอโครงการใหม่กับทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ โดยใช้เวลาสร้างสรรค์ต้นแบบและพัฒนารวม 4 เดือน สู่นวัตกรรมหน้ากากแรงดันลบและบวก ซึ่งเป็นอุปกรณ์การแพทย์ที่ป้องกันการติดเชื้อและ แพร่เชื้อที่มีประสิทธิภาพ
โดยนำเทคโนโลยีฟิลเตอร์ HEPA ระดับ H14 ที่สามารถกรองได้ละเอียดถึง 0.3 ไมครอน และระบบ Microcontroller ในการควบคุมความเร็วของพัดลมมาใช้ เพื่อ ความสะดวกในการใช้งาน นอกจากนี้ ยังเลือกใช้แบตเตอรี่ลิเธียม-ไอออน ที่มีน้ำหนักเบา และสามารถใช้งานได้ต่อเนื่องนานถึง 4 - 6 ชั่วโมง โดยนวัตกรรมนี้ จะถูกผลิตขึ้น ณ โรงงานผลิตรถยนต์ฮอนด้า จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา เพื่อให้ทันกับการใช้งานจริงในสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดระลอกใหม่ โดยจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่จะช่วยให้บุคลากรทางการแพทย์ ผู้ป่วย และคนไทย ผ่านพ้นสถานการณ์นี้ไปด้วยกัน”
ผศ.นพ.อนุแสง จิตสมเกษม รองคณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์วชิรพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยนวมินทราธิราช เปิดเผยว่า “หน้ากากแรงดันลบและบวก ที่ทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ดำเนินการพัฒนาและผลิตขึ้นมา ผ่านการทดสอบมาตรฐานของอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ จากกรมวิทยาศาสตร์บริการ กระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม โดยหน้ากากฯ นี้ สามารถปรับความดันได้ทั้งแบบบวกและลบ ถือว่ามีประโยชน์อย่างมากในช่วงการแพร่ระบาดระลอกใหม่ในครั้งนี้ เนื่องจากมีจำนวนผู้ติดเชื้อเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทำให้บุคลากรทางการแพทย์มีความต้องการใช้อุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ต่างๆ เพื่อป้องกันและลดความเสี่ยงมากขึ้น ซึ่งหน้ากากแรงดันบวก หรือ PAPR (Power Air Purifying Respirator) เป็นอุปกรณ์ที่จำเป็นสำหรับแพทย์ผู้ดูแลผู้ป่วยติดเชื้อโควิดหรือผู้ป่วยทางเดินหายใจอื่นๆ ซึ่งปัจจุบัน ในประเทศไทยมีรวมกันไม่ถึง 5,000 ชิ้น ดังนั้น
หน้ากากฯ ที่ทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ได้พัฒนาและผลิตขึ้นมา จะสามารถช่วยลดความเสี่ยงให้กับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์และผู้ป่วยติดเชื้อโควิด-19 ได้ดีมากยิ่งขึ้น โดยมีความพิเศษตรงที่ยังสามารถปรับความดันให้เป็นลบเพื่อใช้สำหรับขนย้ายผู้ป่วยได้ ซึ่งจะเป็นมิติใหม่ของการรักษา” ทั้งนี้ เมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม 2563 ที่ผ่านมา กองทุนฮอนด้าเคียงข้างไทย ภายใต้มูลนิธิฮอนด้าประเทศไทย ร่วมกับกลุ่มบริษัทฮอนด้าในประเทศไทย รวมทั้งเครือข่ายผู้จำหน่ายรถยนต์และรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้าทั่วประเทศได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการช่วยเหลือสังคมไทย ต้านภัยโควิด-19 โดยได้ดำเนินการผลิตและส่งมอบเตียงเคลื่อนย้ายผู้ป่วยแบบแรงดันลบ (Negative Pressure Mobile Bed) จำนวน 100 เตียง และได้ส่งมอบร่วมกับอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์อื่นๆ ให้แก่โรงพยาบาล 96 แห่งทั่วประเทศ รวมมูลค่า 40 ล้านบาท ผ่านเครือข่ายผู้จำหน่ายรถยนต์และรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้าทั่วประเทศไปแล้วนั้น และเมื่อผนวกรวมกับครั้งนี้ หน้ากากแรงดันลบและบวกป้องกัน โควิด-19 จำนวน 1,000 ชิ้น จะถูกผลิตและนำไปบริจาคพร้อมกับเครื่องพ่นยาฆ่าเชื้อ 100 ตัว รวมมูลค่ากว่า 40 ล้านบาท ที่จะส่งมอบในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2564 เมื่อรวมความช่วยเหลือที่ทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ได้มอบให้แก่สังคมไทยเพื่อร่วมต้านภัยโควิด-19 รวมเป็นมูลค่าทั้งสิ้นกว่า 80 ล้านบาท
โดยลูกค้าผู้ซื้อผลิตภัณฑ์ของฮอนด้า ทั้งรถจักรยานยนต์ รถยนต์ และเครื่องยนต์อเนกประสงค์ ล้วนเป็นผู้มีส่วนร่วมในการช่วยเหลือสังคมในครั้งนี้ ผ่านการสมทบทุนจากการซื้อผลิตภัณฑ์ ทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ พร้อมอยู่เคียงข้างคนไทยและให้ความช่วยเหลือในด้านต่างๆ เพื่อให้สังคมไทยผ่านพ้นวิกฤติโควิด-19 ไปได้ด้วยดีอีกครั้ง และจะไม่หยุดการพัฒนาที่มอบประโยชน์สุขให้กับคนไทย ดังเจตนารมณ์ของฮอนด้าในการสร้างสรรค์คุณค่า

Honda Khiang Khang Thai Fund Produces and Donates 1,000 Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shields and Provides 100 Honda Backpack Sprayers, Worth a Combined 40 MB, to Fight the New Wave of COVID-19
(Bangkok – 21 January 2021) At the end of 2020, medical staff and Thais had to face a new wave of COVID-19 and the situation continues to evolve. The Honda Khiang Khang Thai Fund (HKKT), under the Honda Thailand Foundation, together with the Honda Group of Companies in Thailand, has continued development and is now producing a Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield. It is a compact, lightweight, and easily carried mask that is specially designed to prevent infections and the spread of COVID-19, and can be used both for patients and medical staff who face high risk when treating patients. This equipment is a further development from the negative pressure mobile beds that were previously produced in a cooperative effort between Vajira Hospital and the HKKT Fund and donated to 96 hospitals nationwide in May 2020. This time, the HKKT Fund plans to produce 1,000 units of the Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield and 100 units of the backpack sprayer, a product in the Honda power product category. The items, worth a combined total of over 40 million baht, will be donated to 77 provinces nationwide during February 2021.
Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Managing Director of the HKKT Fund, said, “Following the development and production of the negative pressure mobile beds that were delivered to hospitals nationwide last year, the HKKT Fund is very proud to say that our engineering team didn’t stop developing, but continued to come up with ideas such as this innovative equipment. After four months of effort, they developed the Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield, which was designed to effectively prevent the infection and spread of the virus as it uses high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) Class H14 filtering technology that can trap airborne particles of 0.3 microns. A microcontroller system maintains the required fan speed for convenient use, while the lightweight lithium-ion batteries provide a 4 to 6 hour operating time. This breakthrough equipment will be produced at Honda’s car production plant in Ayutthaya province so it is ready to use in the new wave of the virus that is spreading. It will be another crucial part in helping medical staff, patients, and Thais to get through this pandemic together.”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Anusaeng Chitsomkasem, Associate Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University, said, “The Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield developed and produced by the HKKT Fund has passed the medical equipment standard test from the Department of Science Service, Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation. It can be used with both positive and negative pressure, which makes it the ideal item for fighting the new wave of the virus. As the number of new cases continues to rise, there is increasing demand for medical equipment among medical staff to prevent and reduce infections. A Power Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is a necessary item of Personal Protective Equipment for medical staff who treat COVID-19 patients, or patients with other airborne transmission diseases. Currently, Thailand has a total of less than 5,000 units of PAPR. Therefore, the Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield that the HKKT Fund developed and produced will help reduce the risk for medical staff and COVID-19 patients more efficiently. As a special feature, it can be adjusted to negative pressure, which will help to make the transfer of COVID-19 patients easier and more convenient, and is a new advanced alternative for treatment.”
In May 2020, the HKKT Fund, under the Honda Thailand Foundation, together with the Honda Group of Companies in Thailand and Honda’s network of car and motorcycle dealers nationwide, played a pivotal role in supporting Thai society to combat COVID-19. The HKKT Fund produced and provided 100 negative pressure mobile beds and delivered them together with other medical equipment, worth over 40 million baht, to 96 hospitals through Honda’s car and motorcycle dealer network nationwide. Together with the 1,000 units of the Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield and 100 units of Honda Backpack Sprayers, a product in Honda’s power product category, which are worth a total of over 40 million baht and will be produced and distributed in February 2021, the HKKT Fund is making a donation collectively worth over 80 million baht to support Thai society in the fight against COVID-19.
